Food for Food

Widdy Jan 29, 2006 05:50 PM

I was wondering where everyone purchased mouse and rat food from and what is a good price per pound. Every place I have seen its around $1 a pound. I raised mice for a while, but in the end I had to pay more for the pine chips and then the food, then it was for me to just but a live mouse every week for $1.45 each.

At the time I was feeding
2 Ball Pythons and my sister's roomate had a lizard that ate pinkies.

I wouldn't mind getting back into it, but it has to be practical

Thanks

there's many discussions on this subject on the feeder food forum.in short i have tried many different feeds and have settled on "american fare" dog food from k-mart at about 24 cents a pound, fed from above theres almost no waste.have fun!
