We fought to the end..

FloridaHogs Jan 29, 2006 07:05 PM

We fought til the end, and nursed, and babied to no avail. My male eastern died this weekend, so now I am hogless. I had just finished his new enclousure, and was going to put him in it tomorrow after his 3rd vet visit. How ironic!! Now it will sit empty. Thanks to all for the advice and encouragement in hoping the virus would not win. It took all three of my hoggies. Pretty much stinks right now........

Hey Jim, how is that Tri-color doing?? Hope you have better luck than me.

No good news here. Mine died as well. The vet said it would be hard to tell exactly what it died from without doing a full necropsy. Hopefully the guy I got it from will take some of his to the vet and find out wants wrong with them before more of his die and before he sells them to someone else as well. So far he has cooperated and seems to care enough to do the right thing. But will see. Thanks.

You can probably get a pretty thorough necropsy done for under $100. It will go along way in easing your worries on further animals.
