Who here has feed chicks to their blood or short tailed pythons? Did they like them more or less then rats? I have the opportunity to get lots of frozen chicks at a great price and I can't seem to find rats anywhere (I'm in Canada).

I feed my short-tails a variety of prey items. Rabbits, rats and quail. I have not tried chicks recently, but my shorttails are all in excess of 15lbs and they appear to like larger prey. Younger animals will take chicks as I have tried this with both the short-tails as well as ball pythons. Fortunately, I keep monitor lizards and have the flexibility to offer various prey to my snakes. If they don't like it, the monitors act like garbage disposals.
