Hi All,

My husband and I are in the process of researching, and putting together a business plan for our pied breeding program, and I thought I would join and introduce myself. I have been doing so much research on genetics that my brain is just about fried!! lol

If you guys can offer any advice, I'm sure it will help greatly, and I'm sure you will all be answering my newbie questions soon!!

Nice to meet you all....

Best advice I can give is to check everything you see on a herping genetics web site against a decent genetics text book. A few sites are good, many are bad, and some can only be rated as "run for your life". But all are limited compared to a decent text. And I an not aware of a perfect genetics text. That's based on 5 years experience working as a technician in a university genetics lab and interacting with the profs.

What's your specific question on genetics? Just understanding recessive, co-dom, and what you get when you breed what, or something else. If it's just this stuff look here..http://www.3dpythons.com/Genes.html and then also click on punnet squares in teh top text and it will walk you through what to do.

Inability to correctly spell "Punnett" is often a sign of a poor genetics web site. This one is about average for a herper genetics page.
