Heating

What to you think about this heating:

20 gallon tank(Using a heat pad that covers almost a half of the terrarium)

warm 1/2 side: 29-32º land
22.5º Air

Middle: 22-25º Land
20º Air

cold 1/2 side: 16º Land
18º Air

by the way its quite cold here(winter), so in summer i expect the air temperatures to rise.

I may be wrong on this but 16 sounds a bit on the chilly site. According to my calculations that’s only 61F Maybe a 40W light would help? I am sure those with more experience will hit on this so don’t just take my word for it

I just checked my books and none of them hit on the temp for the cold side of the enclosure. The temps on the hot side of your enclosure are spot on according to my books. I would imagine with that being the case it would be fine. If the individuals don’t like it that cold they simply will not spend a whole lot of time on that side. However you would want to make sure you don’t do something such as place the only water dish all the way over there as to force them to go there. Just my 2 sense.
