Hey guys im new here and I got a question. My ball python has had shed problems and this time he cant seem to get his eye caps off. Ive soaked him like the vet said, worked before but not this time. Any ideas, or should I wait till his next shed. Thanks,

Soaking is OK but we find a sweat box to work better. Take a rubbermaid box like thoose used as breeder boxes, with a lid and some holes for ventilation. Put in a large beach towel, put in snake, mist liberally, sit on a heating pad (drug store type) and set to high. Leave for an hour. The towel gives the snake a surface to rub and get the skin off that softens pretty fast in this high humidity scenario. This has never failed. You do not want eye caps on too long. If teh snake sheds all but leaves eye caps get tear drops from the drug store and apply liberally twice a day or more, to help soften the caps and get them off naturally. If skilled you can very very lightly rub with a moist cotton swab to get them off as well.
