laws for louisiana

toddbecker Jan 31, 2006 10:22 AM

Can anyone tell me where to look for the laws concerning large boids for the state of Louisiana. I am considering moving there in a few years when i retire out of the military, but I am also going to start breeding snakes, including all of the giants. So where I decide to reside will have a lot to do with what the laws are for that state. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Todd

I don't access the forum much lately, did you have to deploy? Were you able to keep your snakes? I'm 8 months away from my 20 year mark and have the retirement bug bad! I'm in the Security Forces and can make lotsa money in the DC area except I don't want to stay in the field. Actually I relly don't know what I want to do as a second career. Anyway, how're things goin?

Thanks for asking, yeah I ended up having to deploy, and I am currently still in Iraq. I will be here till sometime around september. Unfortunately I did end up having to get rid of my snakes. I hated doing it but I could not responsibly leave them with my girlfriend. She is new to snakes and does not have any experience with them and I will be the first to state that one of my snakes was quite irratable. I felt that the best thing I could do was to sell them to some one that could care for them. Anyway, I still try to check on here as often as I can but the net is pretty bad so I am not always able to. Things will be much better once i get back and get my life back into a stable state. Todd

I don't know you, and my feelings about the guy who sent you over there aside, thanks for answering the call. Be careful, and I hope you're all home soon.
