Looking for a nice royalty free photo to use at the Nature Center I work with.
Ideally looking for a wild type corn, in natural habitat would be a big plus.
You will be credited for the photo, but unfortunately you don't get anything else.
Thanks so much

to show a normal reddish one and another one that was found with an unusual look: Golden colored blotches on a gray background, currently the only one of its kind in the world as far as I know. Both were wildcaught on the same road about a quarter of a mile apart in South-east North Carolina. Sorry I don't have any outdoor pics yet, but if you are intersted (in an unusual wildcaught, OR normal wildcaught pic), I can e-mail you some good, natural-looking outdoor pics in a few days (when the weather improves). This is only to illustrate that "odd-ball" specimens DO turn up, but very rarely of course. (This is the first time I found an "odd-ball" in over 30 years of herping .) This pic itself is NOT my best pic, but the only one I have with a normal looking specimen pictured next to the unusual one.

Is this the same "gold colored" corn that popped up on the cornsnakes.com forum a few years ago?

BlueKing Feb 02, 2006 01:06 AM

You mean back in Oct 04? If it is , yeah, that's the same one.

my addiction:
2 normal ball pythons (lazlo and izzy)
1 amelenistic corn snake (zyklon)
0.1 blizzard corn (blizz)

Yes, I bred her to a male found about .5 mile from her. Then I tried to double clutch with a second male I found from about .25 from her, but no luck - even though both were willing!
Other than that all 12 babies are doing great and getting close to two feet long.
