Things are looking...not too bad...

wetceal Jan 31, 2006 06:18 PM

Well to be honest, I think things are looking pretty good! We are VERY excited about this breeding season. A lot of our females seem to be coming of age this year so we're expecting a few cool litters of boas! I snapped some photos yesterday of big snakes and just wanted to share the pictures...

Here are some photos of our gravid girls...

Female Hypo bred by our male Motley - this is the same girl that gave us the litter of Hypo Jungles last year.

A normal female bred by our male Motley

A big normal girl that was bred by our male Jungle. This is the first time she has been bred before. She's got a weird white patch of scales on her...our Piebald Boa LOL!

Here's a normal female that was bred by our male Sharp Albino 100% Het. Anery.

Some Central Americans too! This is a normal that was in with our male Leopard.

And a female unproven Anery Type II that was in with our male Anery Type II.

Our female Albino Arabesque who was bred by the male Motley - she's in her POS right now.

Here are some females that have just finished ovulating and should be going into shed shortly!

A female DH Snow that was bred by our male Albino Arabesque het. Anery - Snow Arabesques maybe...?

A high orange normal female bred by our male Jungle

Our female Hogg Island Boa bred by our male Leopard Boa.

A BIG (she's 9 feet long) normal girl bred by the male Albino Arabesque het. Anery.

Another female unproven Anery Type II. We got her in and only had our male Anery Type II in with her for a couple of weeks and now she's ovulating.

Here are a couple of girls that are building ovulations and should hopefully ovulate for us any day now!

A female Anery bred by the male Motley

A DH Snow female bred by both a Hypo DH Snow AND our Albino Arabesque het. Anery male - so possibly Snow Arabesques here or possibly Hypo Snows? We'll have to wait and see!

Our female Arabesque het. Albino bred by our male Albino Arabesque het. Anery - Super Albino Arabesques maybe?

Here's one currently being worked on! A big normal girl with our male Motley. This would be female #4 for him. He's proved out to be a very enthusiastic breeder this season! What more could you ask for?

And lastly, here's one girl that probably won't go for us this year but I can't wait to see the babies she produces! I just LOVE her contrast! A nice Anery het. Albino...

Thanks for looking!

.....better just stay close to your neighborhood. Good gosh, that is FUN times ten....or was it fifteen? Very nice. I hope the Motley is getting some extra rats for the overtime he is working. Thanks for all the swollen girl photos. Nothing like captive born in the U.S.A. Great job Celia and Sean.

Briefly visiting,

Our male Motley is certainly the star breeder this sesaon! He didn't do anything for us last year but is certainly making up for it now! So males just need that extra year and then they are studs!

Thanks,
Celia

I hope to see some variety in Motleys that you produce with those different girls. And the Arab projects should yield some NEW results. Good luck on proveing the Type IIs, I would love to get my hands on a CBB female.

Good luck, and things look to be exciteing.

Hey Celia,
I guess I've been offshore too long. I seem to have missed all of the excitement. Hopefully I'll be there to see a few of the births.

to be honest with you, I don't really remember. We just got her this season and I remember asking at the time but don't remember the answer now. I want to say she is a 2000 or 2001 animal but I will double check that...

Thanks,
Celia
