I told you she's a shy eater....

wftright Feb 01, 2006 12:16 AM

I've said many times that my ball python is a shy eater. Tonight, I spun a f/t pinkie rat back and forth by its tail in front of her coconut hide. She hit the thing within about ten seconds and sat there in the funniest position for about a minute. Then she started to eat. At first, I thought that she was going to let me watch her eat for the first time in the three-plus months that I've had her. I was wrong.

PS. Yes, I don't like the fact that the pinkie is dragging over the bedding. I may convert to feeding her in some other container. If she continues to eat quickly, I see no reason not to make the switch.

That's interesting. I've never thought of corn snakes as being the least bit shy about anything. If Al is a rescue, I guess I can understand his being shy. I wish my kingsnake were a little bit more shy about certain bodily functions.

Thanks,

Bill

LOL Good comment! Sometimes people say that about me. Having someone say it about my picture is a step up.

Thanks,

Bill
