THis is a recent photo of my lovely little guy (about 50-60 lbs).
I started feeding him some cherries this year and found that he really scarfs them up. If you have not tried them, they'll make a nice change of pace for your turtles.

My common loves cherries, as well as grapes.

don't cherries have pits/seeds in them? they pass those ok?
I either use seedless, or take the pits out. I think they would pass normally anyways.

Mine ate the 1-3/4" dia plug out of the stock tank once. It passed about 3 weeks later and he was none the worse for wear (the plug has some interesting scars on it though). A few seeds or pits will not hurt them at all. I also feed mine over-ripe peaches and apricots without removing the pits - no problem. Now this is for one that is 50 lbs. so keep that in mind when making the judgement.

Bill,
How old is this guy?
Did you get him at this size?
I don't know how old it is. Technically, he's not mine, but I've been keeping him for the last 3 years.
