Id like to share information given to me last knight via email, in a prior post I stated my observation on acclimating new WC uromastyx, when submitted to low knight temperatures we can see worms in there faeces the next morning. It’s been my belief that NTL has a direct affect on intestinal parasites flora, my reasoning is based on the reduced metabolism of uromastyx at lower temps; however it may be possible that at lower metabolism these parasites simply dislodge from internal organs to feed on faeces and therefore are expelled first thing in the morning before having a chance to reattach themselves. This seems quit possible to me but it doesn’t stop parasites outbreak, living organisms on a feeding orgy propagates.
I understand this is of no interest to most keepers; however I do get some feed back from these boring posts, thanks for putting up with them.
