Childrens Pythons in the cooker!

bsaffron Feb 01, 2006 03:16 PM

Im reposting this for those of you who didnt see the pics because I decided to block my photo album from the public.

My female Childrens Python just laid me nine good eggs on Jan 24. The female is from VPI. The males history is unknown. Quite a contrast between the two but Im sure the babies will be sweet. Should hatch around March 20th.

Thanks for looking.

Thats only typical for after the eggs have been layed. Its so neat how she had herself completely surrounding the eggs.

The female looks blonde - much lighter than other Childrens I've seen photos of. Nice. Was she sold to you as a specific morph or is the VPI line just light colored?

To the best of my knowlege she is the line that VPI carried. Ididnt buy her directly from VPI. My buddy in Utah has the parents. He got them from VPI and has been breeding them for around five years or so. He sells out quickly every year. Probably because theyre so nice with that light color. Who knows..maybe it is a morph. We'll see when I get my babies. I agree most Childrens Ive seen are not that light.

I'm the one with the breeders that produced Brendans female. The trio I have is very nice and consistantly produce nice babies. The original breeder female is pictured. I haven't mixed them and they came straight from Dave and Tracey in '99. I am hoping for a couple clutches this season, so we'll see. They are definately great pythons. Congrats again on your eggs Brendan. The best thing is, is that it is very easy to breed them and get good eggs, so this will be the first of many years of childreni.

Whats up man. You know what I cant help but point out how patternless and light my female is compared to your adults. Whats up with that huh?? My girl is over two years so shes obviously grown. Man I wish so bad that I had that male I bought from you but Im stoked to see what this pairing does.

Thanks again for your congrats. Makes an amature feel fuzy!
A definate good luck with all your pythons. I for sure want you and Ben to have nice success.

I've had a few hatchlings that have looked like Claire. One female was almost completely patternless, even as a hatchling. She is the most reduced female I have hatched out. there are pics on my website when she was a yearling, and she has faded since those pictures. Unfortunately, I sold her, so I am not sure how she is looking today.
