I live in SC also and I have been coming across those for years, My dad always called them "Musk Turtles" They have an odor. Im sure you noticed. As far as breeding, I have seen a larger one chasing a smaller female around, Courting I guess... But No, I dont really know much at all about them. But If you need more you dont have to look far!
