I recall one or two episodes when Steve had a closer-than-normal call, so close that they obviously shook him up. He didn't try to hide it, either, and he looked at the camera and said, in as serious a voice as he could, "Danger, danger, danger!"

Hilarious. And admirable. It wasn't that Steve had no fear, it was that he had fear but *did the job anyway* because he loved it and because it needed done.
