"except" or "accept", they mean totally different things. From the context of the message I'm going to assume that it was supposed to be accept.

If it is currently feeding, the best way to find out if it'll take other snakes is to scent with the kingsnakes, or just flat out toss in a different snake and see if it goes for it. Every snake is an individual. Just try and see, you have nothing to lose.
