Sounds like you are doing everything right. On the feeding issue, it sounds like he is still adjusting to his surroundings. Give him a little while to settle in and he should be fine! Also with the moss be careful that he does not ingest any of it on accident. If you go to petco or petsmart they have a brick of dirt called bed a beast I think. Anyways this is waht I use for my 2 pacmans. It works great! Good luck!
