The link gives an account of the origin of salmon.
Basically, the original salmon boa was probably from Panama. She was crossed to at least one male boa constrictor, probably from somewhere in Colombia. So think of salmon boas as a bloodline of Boa constrictor imperator (BCI), mostly derived from the southern end of the subspecies range.
There is also the salmontine boa, which is a the result of crosses between Argentine boa constrictors (don't remember the subspecies name, but it is not BCI) and BCI salmon boas. While I am not aware of crosses between BCI salmon boas and Boa c. constrictor or other subspecies, I cannot say they have not occurred.
I like salmon BCI. But I think crossing subspecies is bad idea, so I wouldn't give a nickel for Salmontine or other salmon mutts.
