I found 6 five lined skink eggs in my yard on June 23rd.
It looked like a nest had been disturbed, the eggs were scattered and I watched and saw no sign of the mother so I brought them in to incubate them.
Two of them hatched today and they are out of the eggs so I put them in a small plastic tub with a ventilated lid on some damp paper towels.
I've never raised a skink from hatching. Can anyone tell me how soon they'll want to eat and what to offer them.
I can probably scrounge some mealworms that might be small enough and I can go see if petsmart or petco have some pinhead crickets. But I would appreciate any suggestions from people who have experienced this.
I raised a skink from the time he was pretty young until he died this spring at five year of age, but I don't think he was this tiny when I caught him.
Thanks for any suggestions.
