I have a bredding community of banded geckos and from what I'm reading they will breed readily in captivity, (not a problem for me) but I want to now hatch the eggs that are bein produced and that will be my first time doing so.. so I am asking for help
internet reading suggests 1:1 vermiculite:water ratio by weight when I did this the vermiculite seems "dry" and after one month the clutch of 2 eggs that I started out with were desicated....
1) I dont know if the eggs were feritle anyways
but I was just gifted with 2 more eggs last night and they look much better then the last 2 so I would appreciate any help that can be given
I have put moist vermiculite in a deli cup with holes punched through it (like you would see a corn snake in at a herp show) and put that eggs directly on top making sure not to jostle them and set them on the coffee table where they will not be disturbed...
2) Do I have to replenish the moisture after a certain time period or should I just leave the deli cup alone the whole time
3) What is the standard egg gestation period before I should see babies if my house is kept at 80-85 degrees
Thanks for any and all responces
