This is a great point. Most herpers aren't prepared to evacuate their herps qickly. I had a good friend lose every animal he owned, and his livelyhood along with them, in a fire last year.

I always keep enough empty containers in one gathered place to fit every animal in my collection. I keep them in a cooler in the closet. I would highly suggest an insulated box of some sort for those of us who don't live in Socal.
