I love geckoes . There are lots of house geckoes in my yard and that special was correct. I have seen them out during 4 pm or so and they do seem to bask for a bit than hide again.
I used to think they were strictly night lizards but I agree they do seem to bask not like anoles but for 10/20 minutes they seem to seek out a basking area by side of patio roof.
