i'm about to buy a couple of baby turtles and the rocks, pebbles and sand I bought are all from the sea (large chunks of coral and smashed coral as well). I've already boiled them in order to kill any harmful microbeings that might contaminate the water. I noticed that the smashed coral and the rocks still smell like the sea.. My question is: are these ornaments harmful for the little turtles because they might still have some salt attached or something?
