I have a pair of Sulcatas. The male who is about 50lbs has attempted to mate with the female who is about 8 years old. I have not seen them actually mate, but they may have. The female has laid a clutch of eggs in February and another clutch(1 month apart)yesterday. In both cases, she laid around 8 eggs. However, only about 1 or 2 of the eggs from each clutch are ok because the rest are broken after she lays them. I watched the a few eggs break as they dropped down into the hole she had dug. I don't believe this to be normal.
Is she missing some calcium in her diet causing thin-shelled eggs?
