The bullfrog has been vilified, perhaps unfairly, as the cause for the decline of many amphibians. At the beginning of the article, the bullfrog was blamed for eating newts, but at the end there is no mention that newts have been recovered from the stomachs of the bullfrogs that were killed. So the question remains as to whether bullfrogs can actually feed on the highly toxic newts.
