If you are looking for something you can handle on a regular basis, then I would suggest a Bearded Dragon. Uromastyx have large space requirements as well as high temperature requirements. If you are willing to put a lot of effort/time/money into a proper enclosure and food, then you will love having a Uromastyx, they have such unique personalities.
