the only thing i can think of is corneal lipidosis, which is caused by a high fat diet. but this would be a strange diagnosis since you are feeding crickets.

are you sure its not becuase they need to shed? if humidity is not high enough the skin can get stuck on their bodies and over their eyes and build up.
