I know that collareds can be found in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains (Albuquerque) but I don't know where to tell you to look. I Googled "sandia mountains new mexico collared lizard" and it came back with some trails and picnic areas where they have been seen. I am more familiar with the NW part of the state.
