You'll need your USF&W import/export license and will have to pay for the inspection and filing of the 3-177 at the port of entry..which should be a designated port
The license is $100 per annum and must be applied for.
The inspection cost depends on the port of entry and time of day but will likely be over 100 for CITES species.. The USF&W schedule of inspection rates and license fees is posted on their website.
Your Canadian exporter would need to secure a Canadian export CITES permit.. These are free here,(to Canadians) but proof of legal origin is required.
