I currently have both, keeping carpets in my person collection and an adult dum in rescue (I have also had a juvie as well). One thing I can note as a major difference is that carpets are a more active and entertaining snake to me. They tend to do more and provide a more entertaining visual. The dumerils, well quite honestly I swear that thing will go days with out moving!
