A friend of mine has just purchased an adult pair of D. melanurus melanurus (both captive bred). The male is about 6.6 ft., the female nearly 6 ft..
The previous owner has never made any attempts to breed them.

When would be the best time for a breeding attempt?

Those of you who have sucessfully bred this species before, could you please also tell me something about hibernation temperatures/duration.
