The python KILLED the gator. After eating the gator,
the python was completely immobolized and unable to take cover.
Any predator including another alligator, a raccoon, or a fox could have dispatched the python while in such a defenseless state. The same predator, or another, ate the head(their favorite part) ripped open the belly hoping for a water fowl.
No wait check that. Hoping for a Key Largo wood rat.D.C.
