Hello,
I recently bought a pair of painted mantellas, which I believe are Mantella madagascariensis. However, they are not black and orange like the pictures I have seen. They both have patterns that are identical to Mantella madagascariensis. They both have orange legs until the upper thigh which turns to a bright green. Their bodies are bright green where other painted mantellas are orange. One (who looks like a male) has a green eyebrow and the other (who looks like a female) has a yellow eyebrow. I could not find any pictures of mantellas that are identical to these. Are these just a different locale or subspecies of Mantella madagascariensis? or a different species? Any help is appreciated, thanks
