I've got a male paradox snow Kenyan that hasn't taken a meal since we got him about 3 to 4 months ago. He looks perfectly healthy and there are no outward signs of any problems. My question is this: Is this unusual, or is this normal for males this time of the year? I've read that males can occasionally go off feed for some time, but its got me a bit worried.

Secondly, I wanted to ask if it is considered mandatory to induce brumation in Kenyans (65-75 degrees Fahrenheit December through February?) in order to keep them in good health? If so, should feeding be completely stopped or cut back? If brumation is not essential for good health, is it essential then in order to induce breeding in the spring?
