Fort Pierce, Fla.: A Fort Pierce man has been arrested on a second-degree misdemeanor charge of owning a venomous snake without a permit.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission investigators said Friday that Kevin Castle was also issued two warnings for improper caging.
Investigators said Castle had a rattlesnake in an unlocked cage on the back porch of his home last month. Investigators seized the snake.
It is illegal in Florida to possess or transport these kinds of snakes without a permit.
