Providing the age and length of the female and good pictures will make it easier to tell if she's under or overweight for her size. Also if housed with the male all the time, stress and/or his constant attempts to mate and egg laying could be using up all her fat reserves too.
In my crested geckos and other healthy weight ones I have seen, the tail, if retained, should be plump and no pelvic bones should be visible.
