Hi,

Welcome! I will be very honest that Iguanas are difficult lizards to keep because of their size and requirements. To buy a cage that would work for an adult would cost a lot of money. We built ours for a fraction of the cost. When cared for properly they can grow from fitting in your hand to 4 feet in about 4 years or less. Males will go into breeding season for about 3 months of the year and can be complete terrors. Imagine a 4-5 foot male iguana that wants to breed. They will try with anything including their owners which can result in someone getting hurt.

If this is your first reptile start with something small and get some experience.

Below is one of my enclosures that we built. This will give you an idea of a good size cage for an adult. It is 4'long 2.5' wide and 6.5' tall.

Hope this helps
