hello, i'm looking to set up a beardy enclosure. i believe i am going with the compact 10.0 for uva & b, but am trying to decide on basking light.
here is my dilemma. i live in florida and it stays in the mid to upper 70's in the house. i am trying to find the best way to raise the temp in the basking spot 20-25 degrees but not have an over abundance of heat. all the basking lights i have been seeing are at least 50-60 watts. i'm afraid this might be too much heat especially when the enclosure is made of wood. i don't want to cook my soon to be newest addition. follow me?
is it possible to put a dimmer switch on a heat lamp?
any advice for basking ideas without having an over abundance of heat??? thanks...
jonathan
