We have went out the last week or so and seen quite a few snakes, am not really an expert on waters, so am trying to get familiar with the ones we have seen. We have seen a few very large ones that appear to be black on top and yellowish/white bottom jaws, some are as big around as good size moccasins, I also saw a very beautiful reddish/brown with tan colored banding similar but not as extreme as a copperhead, any help would be greatly appreciated, have looked at the library, but they really don't have any good field guides, whch fieldguides kind of neglect watersnake species in general. Oh, I am located near picyune, mississippi if that gives anyone a better idea. Thanks
