Went out on a rare sunny day in the upper Midwest. Finally saw plenty of painted turtles and a few Blanding's basking. I've seen a few Blanding's out this year but with storm after storm rolling through everything's been struggling to wake up.

The turtles were too far away for my borrowed point-and-shoot digital camera but a nice Blue Racer posed in a shrub.
