Once you settle in, try to work on a 24" or taller glass enclosure. Or at least an interim unit that is at least twice as tall as he is long. Lean slate tile at an almost vertical angle against one side and then lean a piece of cork bark about an inch away from the slate to form a vertical 'hide' area that you can still see into from straight on.

I have several big Tokay that can be handled. So you never know, some will and some won't. Enjoy.
