Very cool!. I am a retired professional carpenter, so I have made some sweet looking projects out of red oak in the past. It's one of my favorite types of wood to work with as a matter of fact. Especially when polyurethane is applied,.....it just EXPLODES with rich color and brings out the detailed, intricate wood grain..
That's one heck of a nice looking "freebee"!
