Joining USARK http://www.usark.org/ is a good start. They do a good job of drafting letters and keeping herpers informed of the legal issues. They make it easy to make your voice heard.

There will also be a summit at the NARBC Tinley Park, ILL-March 17-18 addressing the issues.
