Sorry for your loss and glad it will not discourage you from trying blood pythons again. It is always tough when an animal passes.

Kelly is right. But without a necropsy it will be impossible to know for sure what happened.

There are lots of good blood breeders out there. Buy from someone who works with them, breeds them, can show pictures of the parents etc. The extra work makes all the difference in the world when it comes to getting a solid, well established baby. Might cost you a bit more but in the end you will be happier.
