Spot on answer for me there from Shadowguy, I totally advocate with incubating at lower temps and I had the best success never going above 80.

The only point I'd add is the kinking may have been caused by temp spikes during the critical stages of incubation, I've seen sudden temps spikes cause issues in the past.
