Gourami breeding is similar to betta breeding in many respects. The males are aggressive towards the females, and they are bubble nest breeders. The female will need to be removed when once the eggs are laid or the male could kill her. He will be very protective of his babies. Unless he has a bubble nest ready, you should not breed them.
