>>hey guys, i have to do an essay on a career in herpetology and computer programming, i need an interview for the herpetology career. so if any of you know your herps well or are an actual herpetologist then please answer these questions.
>>1.why and how did you get involved in herpetology?
Because I find snakes to be one of the most fascinating animals to have ever evolved.
>>2.Is herpetology for everyone?
Only those that dig reptiles and amphibians
>>3.name some of the academic courses needed to be a herpetologist
Herpetology is a very broad field, with specialities ranging from animal behaviour to physiology to venom research.
>>4.what is the average income you make in a year?
>>
Pretty crap considering the amount of studying that goes into any level relative to the pay off. However, we're not in it for the $$$ (not that we would turn any down of course!!).
Cheers
