Hey man,
I usually tie a slip knot of fishing line onto the end of a 6$ fishing pole I get from Wal-Mart. After throwing the loop over the lizard's head, lift up, and its weight will close the loop around the lizards neck. Cheap, effective, loads of fun again and again. Hope this helps.
