I had some of these a few years back. They don't demonstrate the same tendencies toward hibernation as other Testudo (i.e. becoming less active and refusing food in reduced light). I believe these animals experience a cool down period, but one shouldn't drop the animal's temperature too much (somewhere around sixty degrees at the lowest).
