A Quetion For Long Time Keepers

I have seen zoos that use red lights in nocturnal displays for observation by the public. Do you think they leave these lights on 24/7 and would it affect their day/night schedual(sp)? Just curious. Thanks.

Supposedly geckos cannot see the red light, so they will not even know it is on, except for the heat that is radiating off of it. I don't think that it would effect the day/night schedule at all.

Thanks Dustin, I knew reptiles don't see red . Basically was wondering if leaving it on 24/7 would interfere their day/night cycle or breeding. Thanks again.

I really don't see why it would... If they can't see the light, then the only thing that would effect them would be the heat. If you keep an under tank heater on them, you don't turn that on and off. I like the red lights my self, and I also really like those lights that simulate moonlight. I think they are really cool.
